Our aim is to bring the Community together each year, building and renewing the Community Spirit in the area.
The Group meet once a month, usually at The Greyhound, we always welcome new members and helpers.
We spend the year raising funds (with different events) to put on a fun packed Festival Week of Events in mid June each year, with the week being rounded off with the main Carnival Day on the Saturday.
We have annual events each year, like the Halloween Party for the children, the Committee always like to join in! As well as a Disco with refreshments, we have competitions for Best Costume, activities for the kids to join from Games to Apple Bobbing. The success of this night has been wonderful, with numbers increasing each year.
Father Christmas always pays a visit, bringing gifts for the little ones – if they have been Good.
2012 saw the introduction of the “Guess the Weight” themed event. Starting with Turkeys that year and had a lovely pair of live Turkeys visit us for the day. 2013 we had two beautiful Hens to guess the difference in weight of.
Alongside the Competitions the event also has Displays and Fun Packed Activities for all ages.
Tenders are requested each year, from Local Businesses, for bars and food stalls.
Local Charities are invited to have a stall to promote themselves….and join in the fun.
